International observers for municipal elections to hold press conference in Tbilisi on Friday

TBILISI, 5 October 2006 - International observers for the 5 October municipal elections in Georgia will hold a press conference in Tbilisi tomorrow.
Ambassador Geert Ahrens, the Head of the Limited Election Observation Mission from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), and Wim Van Gelder, who heads the delegation from the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe will announce their findings.
Some 40 observers are monitoring the municipal elections on behalf of the OSCE/ODIHR and the Congress.
Media representatives are invited to a news conference at 15:00, on Friday, 6 October, at Hotel Sheraton Metechi Palace, Kala room, 20 Telavi Street, Tbilisi.
