The OSCE’s Permanent Council adopted the agenda for the 2011 Human Dimension Implementation Meeting on 29 July 2011. The OSCE’s annual human rights and democracy conference will take place from 26 September to 7 October in Warsaw.

The meeting will review participating States’ records in implementing their commitments in the fields of human rights, democracy and the rule of law. The agenda this year also includes special sessions on freedom of movement, democratic elections and election observation, and Roma and Sinti issues.

The Human Dimension Implementation Meeting, Europe’s largest annual human rights event, attracts hundreds of government representatives, civil society activists and international experts every year. Non-governmental organizations can participate in the event on an equal footing with government officials. The meeting is open to the media.
