About
The training course is organized by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the OSCE Mission to Skopje, in co-operation with the Training Centre of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of North Macedonia.
ODIHR has developed the train-the-trainer course to strengthen the capacity of police officers to work effectively with Roma and Sinti while complying with international human rights standards.
Participants
The course involves police trainers, including staff from the Training Centre in North Macedonia. The participants will subsequently engage in training law enforcement officials at the national level.
Output
ODIHR will provide participants with effective community policing strategies that are fair and responsive to the needs of the people they serve and reflect human rights-compliant practices. The training will also increase participants’ knowledge of and sensitivity to gender-specific issues that Roma and Sinti women face.
