About
The fifth working session of the ODIHR Group of Experts on Democratic Lawmaking (GoE) is organized to gather feedback on the pre-final draft of Guidelines on Democratic Lawmaking (Guidelines). The GoE members, including academics, judicial experts, representatives of government bodies and civil society, will share promising trends and national good practices in lawmaking to feed into the Guidelines. They will also discuss an action plan for finalizing, publishing, launching, disseminating and raising awareness about the Guidelines as a tool to improve democratic lawmaking in the OSCE region.
The upcoming publication will provide useful guidance on how to draft quality legislation through effective and participatory lawmaking. It will reflect more than 20 years of ODIHR experience in assessing lawmaking processes and providing concrete recommendations for enhancing and rationalizing legislative procedures.
