About
This webinar will discuss ways to increase the participation of women, minorities and people with disabilities in the justice sectors in South Eastern Europe.
The event will bring together justice sector professionals, civil society and international experts. It will be an opportunity for participants to share good practices on inclusion of women, minorities and people with disabilities in the justice sector.
Background
A 2019 ODIHR study has found that women, minorities and people with disabilities are often underrepresented in OSCE participating states, including in South Eastern Europe.
ODIHR’s research also shows that people from under-represented groups leave careers in the legal field faster than others.
Additionally, the study has also found that there is greater public trust and confidence in justice sectors that are visibly more diverse.
