The OSCE Chairmanship-in-Office, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media (RFOM) kindly invite all interested parties for the second 'Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting on promotion of freedom of expression: rights, responsibilities and OSCE commitments' that will take place on 3-4 July 2014, in Vienna.
The Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting will provide a forum for the discussion of the developments regarding the rights, responsibilities and OSCE commitments with respect to freedom of expression. The topics will include the right to freedom of expression as envisioned in States’ national laws, as well as in international law and policy, the responsibilities within the framework of freedom of expression as set by international standards, and the role of the OSCE and civil society in safeguarding and promoting the commitments in this regard.
On-line registration for all participants is available at http://meetings.odihr.pl. Participants are advised to register by Wednesday, 2 July 2014. Afterwards only on the spot registration will be available. However, to facilitate the preparation for the meeting, e.g. preparation of badges and printing of sufficient amount of materials, the earliest possible registration would be highly appreciated.
Any bodies wishing to organize a side event during the meeting should submit the side event check list latest by Wednesday, 18th of June.
