About the event
On 2 June 2026, ODIHR will bring together Roma and Sinti women activists, civil society representatives and experts from across the OSCE region for a consultative advocacy workshop in Warsaw.
The event will provide a space to discuss challenges facing Roma and Sinti women’s organizations and activists, exchange advocacy strategies and good practices, and explore ways to strengthen support for Roma and Sinti women human rights defenders.
The workshop builds on ODIHR’s ongoing work on Roma and Sinti women’s rights and follows a 2024 needs assessment examining the priorities and advocacy needs of Roma and Sinti women’s organizations and activists across the OSCE region.
Discussions will also contribute to ODIHR’s broader work on intersectional and gender-responsive advocacy, including the launch of the Handbook on Advocating for the Human Rights of Roma and Sinti Women on 3 June 2026.
