About
ODIHR is supporting North Macedonia’s Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services in organizing a workshop to present the Code of Conduct in the Online Sphere during Electoral Processes and Referenda. The Code, which was drafted by the Agency with ODIHR support, addresses the conduct of political contestants in online campaigning and the coverage of elections by online media.
The event will bring together key electoral stakeholders, including representatives of political parties, broadcasters’ online editions, online media, fact-checkers and influencers, relevant state institutions, including the election administration, and civil society. Participants will discuss potential impact of the Code on future election campaigns.
ODIHR assistance to the Agency is part of the Office’s Support to Electoral Reforms in the Western Balkans project, funded by the European Union and the Austrian Development Agency. The project supports institutions and civil society in their efforts to follow-up on election observation recommendations.
