Needs assessment mission
Presidential Election, 22 April and 6 May 2012
Following a preliminary invitation from the Permanent Representation of France to the OSCE to observe the 2012 presidential election, ODIHR undertook a Needs Assessment Mission, which noted that most previous recommendations remain unaddressed. As no major changes to the electoral and legal framework have taken place since the 2007 presidential election, it was concluded that an observation activity would not add significant value in the current context.
