About
As part of the Capacity building of Roma civil society organizations (CSOs) to mobilize Roma to participate in public and political life project, ODIHR organized two training courses for Roma on Human Rights, Mobilization and Public Participation in Serbia and North Macedonia.
During the training, participants developed local plans of action aimed at addressing local issues which were identified by the participants. In this respect, ODIHR supported the implementation of selected plans by participants and provided them with tailored coaching and guidance during the implementation period. As a follow-up activity after fulfilling the action plans, ODIHR organizes a final workshop where participants will present their work and share practical experiences.
Topics and goals:
The final workshop features presentations focusing on the main objective of participant’s activities, their implementation and related successes and pitfalls experienced, including a note on lessons learned.
Participants will also discuss possible follow-up plans that they may engage in, together with prospective advocacy plans connected to the implemented activities.
The event will create a platform for the participants to examine future initiatives carried in close dialogue and co-operation with local authorities.
