About
ODIHR will host a consultation meeting on 13 October 2021 in Warsaw, Poland, to take stock of the Office’s work on Roma and Sinti issues. The event will take place on the sidelines of the conference “ODIHR: three decades and ready for the future: Democracy, human rights and security in the OSCE”, which will mark the Office’s 30th anniversary and explore its role in supporting OSCE participating States in promoting democracy and human rights in the region.
The consultation meeting will focus on ODIHR’s milestone achievements in improving the situation of Roma and Sinti and on ways forward in addressing Roma and Sinti issues amid modern-day challenges. In particular, the meeting will allow participants to discuss existing strategic priorities in view of current political and policy developments.
Participants will include a number of experienced Roma professionals, activists and elected representatives who are familiar with ODIHR activities and the broader OSCE context.
