About
Organized by ODIHR and the OSCE Mission to Skopje, the workshop aims to strengthen the capacities of the parliament of North Macedonia to perform its legislative and oversight function in a gender-sensitive manner. Twenty parliamentarians and relevant parliamentary staff (14 women and 6 men) will explore ways for making laws work for women and men in all their diversity and ensuring that parliamentary oversight includes and contributes to gender equality. Emphasis will be placed on assessing and analysing parliamentary rules, procedures and policies, in order to identify steps needed for institutional change towards stronger gender equality and inclusion in the parliament.
The workshop is implemented within the framework of ODIHR's project on “Strengthening Inclusive and Accountable Democratic Institutions in the OSCE Region” and the OSCE Mission to Skopje’s project “Supporting Democratic Governance Reform Processes”.
