About
The workshop will provide a platform for parliamentarians and other stakeholders from Armenia to discuss possible scope of upcoming electoral reform in light of international obligations and norms related to democratic elections. Participants will compare different models of election administration and share lessons learned and good practices on amending electoral legislation.
With contributions from a number of members of parliaments and international experts, the workshop will highlight outstanding ODIHR, Venice Commission and other organizations’ election-related recommendations and the importance of inclusive and timely discussions on all aspects of elections. The workshop will outline a general action plan and a timeline for upcoming legal reforms, highlighting priority areas, defining thematic research assignments and setting drafting deadlines.
All OSCE participating States have committed themselves to promptly following up on ODIHR’s election assessments and recommendations.
