About

During this two-day seminar, around 20 judges and prosecutors will receive training on mutual legal assistance and co-operation between state authorities and international criminal courts. Issues relevant to State co-operation with criminal courts and State assistance to other states in the investigation and prosecution of war crimes will be addressed in light of international law and practice as well as the law and practice in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The seminar will be led by Dan Brown, former ICTY Senior Prosecuting Trial Attorney, Ibro Bulić from the Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Prosecutor’s office, and Nikola Sladoja from the Bosnia and Herzegovina Ministry of Justice.

The seminar is organized as a follow-up to the European Union-funded War Crime Justice Project, which was implemented by the OSCE/ODIHR in partnership with the ICTY, the UN Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute and OSCE field operations, and completed in October 2011.

The training seminar will utilize the international criminal law training curriculum for judges and prosecutors developed as a part of the Project.
