The visit is designed to equip both central and local authorities with knowledge and practical information about reforms undertaken by Romanian counterparts. The participating officials will meet representatives of various ministries and structures mandated to deal with Roma-focused matters, national human rights institutions and Roma civil society. The visit will inform the work of the Ukrainian authorities towards harmonizing their domestic frameworks with the standards and regulations of the European Union. This activity is part of ODIHR’s work on supporting Ukrainian authorities to ensure protection of Roma as well as respect for their human rights during the war. The event is organized within the ODIHR project “Advancing the Human Dimension of Security in Ukraine”. The event is open to selected participants only.
