About

The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) invites applications from suitably qualified nationals of OSCE participating States with expertise in political party regulation and democratic governance to join the ODIHR Core Group of Experts on Political Parties.

The group will be appointed for a four-year term, expected to commence in January 2025.

Application

To apply, interested individuals are requested to:

  • Fill in the application form available in the resources section below
  • Provide an up to three-page resume/CV outlining their experience in the area of political party regulation
  • Include a cover letter, not exceeding 300 words, expressing their interest, motivation, and possible contributions to the group’s work

Suitable candidates will be placed on the roster of experts for three years. They may be contracted to support ODIHR's work on political party regulation, democratic governance, constitutional law, human rights law, and legislative and policy analysis.

Remuneration

The Core Group members act pro bono and are not remunerated.

ODIHR will cover all travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs associated with participation in meetings and other activities.

ODIHR may engage experts on a contractual basis to assist with specific projects or activities that go beyond the core roles and responsibilities of the members. This will always be regulated by Terms of Reference and a consultancy contract subject to applicable ODIHR rates.
