ODIHR works with civil society organizations and human rights defenders across the OSCE region, providing advice and training to ensure they are able to carry out their activities to protect human rights and remain safe while doing their work.

The OSCE is founded on the concept that the protection and promotion of human rights is a precondition for security. Civil society plays a vital role in safeguarding democracy and human rights, and ODIHR works closely with civil society organizations, creating a space for dialogue, training, joint projects and safe platforms for exchange.
Together, we build stronger democracies, protect rights and ensure that no voice is left unheard across the OSCE region.
