Bosnia and Herzegovina: Concluding the Participatory Youth Audit Pilot

This event aims to conclude the pilot phase of the Participatory Youth Audit methodology, which purpose will be to help political parties assess and strengthen the participation of young people within their structures.

Youth Audit Methodology

Grounded in the Lundy Model of Participation, the Youth Audit examines four dimensions of youth engagement: the space young people are given, the voice they can exercise, the audience that listens to them, and the influence they ultimately hold. 

This third and concluding phase of the pilot centred on the formal handover of the final audit reports to the participating parties, followed by dedicated action-planning workshops designed to translate the findings and recommendations into party-owned, sequenced and time-bound next steps.

Throughout the pilot, the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina and its Field Office in Banja Luka played an essential role as joint counterpart, from building trust with the parties to accompanying every step on the ground, illustrating how ODIHR and OSCE field operations can work hand in hand to turn a methodology into tangible engagement. 

With the pilot now complete, the official version of the Participatory Youth Audit methodology will be released in the near future, so that political parties across the OSCE region and beyond can put it to use.
