Mongolia: Opinion on the Law on Presidential Election of Mongolia and Coherence of the Electoral Framework and Political Party Regulations

On 2 July 2025, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (hereinafter “ODIHR”) received a request from the General Election Commission (GEC) of Mongolia for a legal review of the Law on the Presidential Election of Mongolia” (hereinafter “Law”), as well as comparative analyses on the coherence between the regulations on campaign and political party financing and reporting.

This Opinion was prepared in response to the above request. ODIHR conducted this assessment within its mandate to assist the OSCE participating States in the implementation of their OSCE human dimension commitments.
