About
As part of ODIHR’s project “Advancing the Human Dimension of Security in Ukraine”, the Contact Point for Roma and Sinti Issues (CPRSI) has been conducting a capacity building programme on human rights monitoring on Roma issues for Roma civil society.
To address the monitors’ needs in conducting human rights monitoring, ODIHR will organize a thematic meeting to discuss monitors’ experiences, lessons learned and remaining issues related to the ongoing field monitoring. The event will also cover the milestones of the capacity building programme, effective ways for recording human rights violations, and will include a session on the best practices for verification and analysis of information and report writing.
Topics and goals
The meeting will provide human rights defenders in Ukraine with a platform to present their progress reports on implementation of their monitoring and security plans, including respective monitoring activities based on ODIHR’s human rights monitoring cycle. The meeting is also aimed at supporting the monitors in successfully drafting and submitting their final monitoring reports prepared within the capacity building programme.
The event will be conducted in Ukrainian and English, with simultaneous interpretation.
