About
As part of its activities aimed to strengthen the capacity of Roma civil society, the Contact Point for Roma and Sinti Issues (CPRSI) has conducted a capacity building programme focused on human rights monitoring for Roma human rights defenders. At the end of the programme’s implementation, ODIHR will organize a closing workshop to enable the monitors to present their work and share experiences and good practices.
Topics and goals
The event will provide Roma human rights defenders from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, North Macedonia, Romania and Slovakia with a platform to present their human rights monitoring work and to share their experience for the benefit of civil society and relevant authorities in these six participating states.
This workshop will be an opportunity to discuss the findings, conclusions and recommendations on the human rights assessment reports elaborated under the capacity building programme. Participants will also look at follow-up steps and future advocacy opportunities.
The event will be an interactive learning exercise and the participants are expected to provide feedback, comments and advice to each other.
