This thematic webinar will address how respect for democratic principles and rule of law contributes to a good law-making process, strengthens good governance, as well as promotes inclusive and diverse democratic societies.

In two panel discussions, participants to this online meeting will have an opportunity to address principles of democratic law-making, applicable international standards and the experience of some OSCE participating States.

The webinar participants will also discuss various ways for public engagement in the process of law-making, as well as the opportunities and challenges of new technologies.

This webinar will seek to identify measures that governments should take to address these challenges in line with their commitments, highlighting good practices relating to the law-making process.
