About
The third meeting with women parliamentarians aims to facilitate an exchange of experiences and strengthen the capacities of women parliamentarians in Belarus to consider gender aspects in parliamentary work.
The event will gather 15 women parliamentarians and relevant parliamentary/government officials from Belarus and 5 guests from abroad, including ODIHR staff members and international experts.
The meeting is a continuation of previous discussions held in the June 2018 and March 2019 meetings with women parliamentarians in Belarus. The format of a peer-exchange includes facilitated discussions on gender-sensitive legislation, as well as, presentations and discussions of experiences and good practices from Belarus, Sweden and Slovenia.
The third meeting with women parliamentarians is organized in the framework of the Women’s Participation and Leadership component of the EU-funded Project on Promoting Democratization and Human Rights in Belarus.
