Reference Guide for Anti-Trafficking Legislative Review
This reference guide aims to set up a framework for comprehensive anti-trafficking legislation in order to assist law makers and policy makers in the entire OSCE region in their efforts to adopt or review anti-trafficking legislation.
In order to promote a more comprehensive approach towards the fight against trafficking in human beings and protection of the rights of trafficked persons, this reference guide is structured according to three main areas where legislative review is necessary: prevention, prosecution, and protection.
It also includes a set of recommendations for legislative review and reform efforts. These recommendations are based not only on legally binding standards but also take into account political commitments, as well as examples of existing initiatives and activities at the national level.
This reference guide aims to set up a framework for comprehensive anti-trafficking legislation in order to assist lawmakers and policy-makers in the entire OSCE region in their efforts to adopt or review anti-trafficking legislation. Furthermore, it is a valuable tool for non-governmental organizations in their advocacy work to improve anti-trafficking legislation.
