Human Rights Meetings
Exchange of views between participating States and civil society.
Some of the OSCE’s largest international conferences focus on human rights-related topics, such as the Human Dimension Implementation Meetings and the Supplementary Human Dimension Meetings.
These meetings bring together hundreds of participants, including experts in the field and representatives of governments, international organizations and civil society.
Human Dimension Implementation Meetings
Reviewing the implementation of commitments undertaken by OSCE participating States
The Human Dimension Implementation Meetings bring together hundreds of government officials, international experts, civil society representatives and human rights activists to take stock of how states are implementing their commitments in the human dimension, representing such core OSCE values as the respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. The Meetings are organized by ODIHR in Warsaw and typically last ten working days.
Supplementary Human Dimension Meetings
Exchange of views between participating States and civil society
The Supplementary Human Dimension Meetings provide an opportunity for dialogue and the exchange of views between participating States and civil society actors on the existing good practices and challenges regarding specific topics.
Human Dimension Seminars
In-depth exploration of emerging human rights issues with experts
Human Dimension Seminars provide a platform for an exchange of views among OSCE participating States, OSCE executive structures, and a variety of international organizations, civil society, and other stakeholders on challenges and opportunities related to their co-operation in the human dimension.
